Job Summary: The Pharmacy Student assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy students work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a School of Pharmacy.

Experience: Previous pharmacy experience preferred (especially health-system), but not required.

License / Certifications: Must be registered as a pharmacy technician by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy or have a current pharmacy extern/intern registration by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy.
