Senior Electrical/Lighting Technician

GENERAL PURPOSE FOR THE POSITION

This position is for an Electrical/Lighting Technician to serve Dawood’s Highway/Traffic Group. Successful candidate will report to the Senior Transportation Planner and will work directly with the Senior Lighting Designer, highway designers and CAD Technicians to develop Roadway Lighting Plans and a wide variety of related deliverables. The position will also perform highway lighting design reviews on behalf of PennDOT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. The Company reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet business and organizational needs as necessary.

1. Assist in the preparation of lighting designs, construction drawings and technical specifications for electrical systems. 
2. Ensure that installation and operations of lighting systems conform to industry standards and customer requirements. 
3. Prepare and check design mark-ups for CAD operators and utilize CAD software and computer-assisted engineering/design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks. Training will be provided as needed.  
4. Under direction of the Senior Lighting Designer, coordinate lighting installation, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
