The Headlines:   

In the role of Unit Manager-Production Servies working in Elkton, VA you will be part of the Shenandoah Brewery Production Services team.  You will be responsible for utilizing World Class Supply Chain best practices and processes which contribute to world class standards of operation.   Leads the preparation and development of the brewery production throughput plan. Liaison for brewery between corporate planning and scheduling.

 

Leads and motivates direct scheduling team. Ensures collaboration and communication of scheduling specialists in production scheduling, brewing, and packaging to optimize overall production schedules.

 

This position reports to Sr Manager Customer Service and Supply.

 

 

The Responsibilities: 

• Most importantly, you will lead a team of talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
• Ensures brew, package and shipping plans are optimized for customer service in conjunction with the run strategy.
• Monitors and supports system development required to meet increased complexity and demand
• Leads the preparation of daily production schedules to direct plant personnel to produce proper product for today’s immediate order demands.
• Updates and advises brewery leadership on current and future production plans and volumes.
• Responsible for building a winning team by role modeling World Class Supply Chain principles and practices, and leading and ensuring full leverage of all people management processes

• You have a bachelor’s degree in business/technical field OR equivalent experience (6+ years) in scheduling

• You have Thorough knowledge of the production flow including brewing capabilities, packaging capabilities, shipping constraints, corporate policy and procedures regarding customer orders is necessary.
• Comprehensive understanding of major manufacturing processes

• You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
• You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome
