In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and participating in important projects; improving and applying the Data Governance practice, as well as guiding and consulting Data Owners and Data Stewards.

What you do

 

As a part of the Enterprise Data Office, you will support the Data transformation of AllianzGI in all dimensions (people, processes, tooling). This includes, but is not limited to:
•    Supporting the Enterprise Data Office Team in maintaining and enhancing AllianzGI’s Data Governance framework:

• Create training materials to support the onboarding of Data Owners and Data Stewards 
• Support Data Owners and Data Stewards to ensure the implementation of strong Data Governance practices and processes (data domain glossaries, metadata curation, data quality)
• Take responsibility for data issues in dedicated projects and workstreams or during the demand management process.

•    Participate in one of AllianzGI’s biggest transformation projects rolling out our new Data & Technology strategy over the coming years. Work closely with senior management up to the C-suite, e.g. by creating communications on behalf of the Enterprise Data Office to accelerate the data transformation within AllianzGI (e.g. intranet, events, communication to the Group)
•    Support the implementation of future data management solutions (tooling and documentation)
•    Develop innovative reporting solutions and prepare regular reports on the data transformation and on data management activities for the Enterprise Data Forum and senior management (e.g. on data quality, data lineage). 
•    Support the regular reporting of data maturity and data fitness within the Allianz Group Data Framework 

What you bring

 

•    Currently enrolled to obtain a university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, International Business, Data Science or related field of study 
•    Strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in both data analytics and the financial sector, in particular the investment management industry 
•    Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel 
•    Proficiency in programming languages like Python or SQL are highly beneficial 
•    Well organized and able to work independently as well as in a team environment 
•    Ready to learn new things and not afraid of taking responsibility 
•    Proficiency in English is required; further languages would be highly beneficial 
•    Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus
