Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Post - Education Site in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at locations serving both educational and healthcare communities. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students or patients, responding to inquiries and assisting with any security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of those at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Assist visitors, staff, and/or patients with directions and information as appropriate to the location.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
