Your Specific Responsibilities:
Supports Performance Excellence throughout the Florida Department of Health in Manatee County (DOH-Manatee) utilizing the nationally recognized Baldrige/Sterling Management Model. This includes working on Special Projects as set forth by DOH-Manatee’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and with the Quality Improvement (QI) Team. This is a highly trusted and responsible position that demonstrates skill in data collection and analysis, process management, continuous improvement, quality assurance, innovation and knowledge management to support DOH-Manatee’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Performance management Council (PMC) and other process improvement or project teams at DOH-Manatee. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the relevant and useful information is available for strategic planning and organization and daily operational decision support. The incumbent is fully engaged and supports the Senior Leadership Team and other teams and managers to enable fact-based decision-making.
Special QI Projects include, but not limited to:
- Inventory/storage management to include cost savings measures while maintaining access to storage units, including Special Needs Shelter inventory.
- Supporting quality improvement activities in Environmental Public Health such as scanning paper documents, plans to be uploaded into Environmental Health Database (EHD), surveys, implementing technology solutions, workload calculator to include drive time, fee schedule analysis.
- EAR/DAR timely data entry project.
Facilitates and documents problem-solving, process improvement, project management, and innovation teams to achieve scorecard targets or objectives.
- Provides support in maintaining and updating DOH-Manatee’s Scorecard, including timely data entry.
- Review and analysis of the organizational and Division scorecards and the Administrative Snapshot to include trends.
- Work with PMC members on Action Plans to include SLT review.
- Maintain Team Charters and ensure Teams are posting all documents appropriately.
- Send post New Employee Orientation (NEO) surveys upon completion of NEO, 30-Day Onboarding, and 60-Day Onboarding to new employees; share reporting and trend data with QI Team, SLT, and PMC.
- Attend and produce PMC meeting minutes; send for review and upload final version in FLHealthPerforms.
- Reminders of key dates and activities to PMC well in advance for reporting on Foundational Plans at DOH-Manatee: Performance Management Quality Improvement (PMQI) Plan; Strategic Plan; Community Health Assessment (CHA); Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP); and Workforce Development Plan.
