About the role

Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC.

  • Employment Status: Full-time
  • Compensation: This is a salaried position, paid bi-weekly OR This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly.

Requirements: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have and meet the following:

  • Degree/Education: Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a Graduate Diploma in Nursing, from an accredited agency such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Possess and maintain current Pain Management Nursing certification as determined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Experience: In lieu of the of the Pain Management Nursing certification, possess a minimum of three (3) years of clinical work experience as a full-time RN within the preceding five (5) years including at least one (1) year of pain management nursing experience working in a setting with chronic pain patients.
  • Licensure/Registration: Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in any one (1) of the 50 States, the District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Job Summary:

  • Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities. Function with an awareness and application of safety procedures.
  • Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols,
  • remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events. Anticipate
  • potential problems/emergencies and make appropriate interventions. Notify supervisor,
  • director, or other designated person regarding problems that the HCW is unable to
  • manage.
  • Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program as directed.
  • Participation shall include, but not be limited to, appropriate medical examination,
  • documentation, and reporting.
  • Exercise awareness and sensitivity to patient/significant others' rights, as identified within
  • the MTF.
