Senior UI/UX Designer/Appt Dev Expert

Aperio Global is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer/Appt Dev Expert to join their upcoming Application Modernization program in Dulles, VA. This program addresses the assessment of end-of-life applications to sunset, upgrade, or develop new applications that meet current needs. This will require the utilization of best-in-class design and design experience to develop solutions for the Airports Authority.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and shape the UX design strategy in alignment with company vision and business objectives, promoting a culture of user-centric design across all digital platforms.
• Plan and conduct comprehensive user research using diverse methodologies and translate complex insights into effective design solutions.
• Develop intuitive and engaging user experiences, leveraging wireframes, user flows, information architecture, prototypes, and mockups, and oversee their implementation.
• Collaborate effectively with UI designers, developers, and stakeholders across the organization, ensuring seamless integration of UX design into product solutions and maintaining the highest standards of user experience.
• Oversee and refine the usability testing process, interpret complex analytics data, and incorporate user feedback and testing insights into iterative design enhancements.
• Advocate for user-centric design within the organization, driving understanding and appreciation of the importance of UX design in product development.
• Keep abreast of UX trends, advancements, and emerging technologies, driving continuous learning and professional development within the UX design team.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, promoting a collaborative, creative, and inclusive team culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX developer as part of Web Application Development for Cloud Application team.
• Bachelor's degree in art, Digital Art, Multi-media, Information Technology, or related field of study.
• Significant high-level experience as a UX designer, with a compelling portfolio that demonstrates innovative design solutions, complex problem-solving, and a strong user-centric approach.
• Expertise in design software (such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) and prototyping tools (like InVision, Balsamiq, Marvel).
• Comprehensive understanding of user-centered design principles, UX design best practices, trends, and tools.
• Experience with diverse user research methodologies, in-depth usability testing, and interpretation of complex analytics data.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, demonstrated through successful negotiation and alignment on key design decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design decisions and processes to a variety of audiences, and a record of achieving stakeholder buy-in.
• Experience in designing for diverse groups of people (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficiency in front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Preferred Qualification

Preferred (Plus) Qualification –

Training and/or Certification on UI/UX Tools (Adobe) and Concepts (like Design Thinking)

Exposure to modern software development concepts (like CI/CD) and implementation experience in writing SQL script.

Preferred Tools - Jira or Azure DevOps Tool or Similar; GIT, IDE,
