Registered Nurse Long Term Care Day Shift

Caring Place Staff Nurse RN   About the job: Provides safe, direct resident care to promote and restore resident’s health through direct nursing care for the elderly population. Educates, advises, and makes safe, effective and appropriate decisions according to protocols.   Here’s what you’ll be doing:

1. Provides direct, professional nursing care to residents utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
2. Records and reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents to provider and care team.
3. Performs evaluation of new and existing residents to determine priority and suitability of treatment and /or need for modifications.
4. Delegates medical acts to LPN’s and CNA’s in accordance with the Wisconsin Board of Nursing rules
5. Provides resident education when needed.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Bachelors or Associate Degree in nursing, Wisconsin Licensed Registered Nurse
• CPR and Basic Life Support Certified   
• Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens.
• FCP complies with all CDC vaccine and testing recommendations for healthcare professionals. Proof of immunizations is required and immunizations/testing provided upon hire. 

Preferred qualifications:

• Two or more years patient care experience in a medical setting
• Previous experience in a long-term care setting
