This position serves as a lead worker and is responsible for organizing, planning, executing, controlling, and evaluating the operation and implementation of Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) purchases and contractual services, policies, and procedures. Essential Functions

• Under general direction of the Agency Procurement Officer, organizes, plans, executes, controls and evaluates the operation and implementation of Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) purchases and contractual services, policies and procedures.
• Negotiates with vendors to obtain the most advantageous prices.
• Reviews and verifies contract agreements for accuracy and compliance with contract specifications.
• Serves as designated lead worker.
• Performs special assignments and conducts research studies, e.g., budget analysis, cost studies, etc.
• Coordinates with Accounts Payable Section within ERP to maintain proper controls, accountability and maximum services/equipment for each contract, contract amendment and/or lease.
• Provides cross-training to Procurement Office staff on Contracts Office duties and receives cross-training on Procurement Office duties.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
