Inside the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer III to join our team for third-shift operations. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our manufacturing processes, particularly in troubleshooting production issues for third shift at C2 plant.

Position offers a starting salary range of $104,000 - $133,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA:
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to PLC, AGV, robots, VFDs, conveyor lines in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.
Possess extensive hands-on experience with full-time exposure to a fast-paced shop floor environment.
Troubleshoot and support welding equipment, paint equipment, glue delivery systems.
Provide technical support for Shopfloor Cyber Security related tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and operators to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians in troubleshooting and maintaining control systems.
Document troubleshooting procedures, maintenance activities, and system modifications accurately for future reference.
The duties of this position are 95% on the production floor.
Knowledge You Should Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, and at least 8 years of related working experience. Or at least 10 years of related working experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Proficient with Allan Bradly PLC controls and related software
Proficient with Fanuc robot.
Team player, detail oriented, excellent root cause analysis ability and problem-solving skills
Extensive knowledge in manufacturing equipment hardware and software design practices & standards (i.e. PLC’s, HMI’s, AGV's, servo systems, safety scanners, Fabrication presses etc.).
Knowledge of electrical codes & standards.
Knowledge of safety codes and standards.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and testing equipment.
Proficient with electrical wiring
Proficient with PC hardware and commercially available software.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have:
Knowledge of fluid systems (pneumatic, hydraulic and lubrication)
Extensive knowledge of welding application.
Knowledge of SCADA systems, motion control systems
