We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer III to join our team for third-shift operations. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our manufacturing processes, particularly in troubleshooting production issues for third shift at C2 plant.

Position offers a starting salary range of $104,000 - $133,000 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA:

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to PLC, AGV, robots, VFDs, conveyor lines in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.

• Possess extensive hands-on experience with full-time exposure to a fast-paced shop floor environment.

• Troubleshoot and support welding equipment, paint equipment, glue delivery systems.

• Provide technical support for Shopfloor Cyber Security related tasks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and operators to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians in troubleshooting and maintaining control systems. 

• Document troubleshooting procedures, maintenance activities, and system modifications accurately for future reference.  

• The duties of this position are 95% on the production floor.

Knowledge You Should Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, and at least 8 years of related working experience. Or at least 10 years of related working experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

• Proficient with Allan Bradly PLC controls and related software

• Proficient with Fanuc robot.

• Team player, detail oriented, excellent root cause analysis ability and problem-solving skills

• Extensive knowledge in manufacturing equipment hardware and software design practices & standards (i.e. PLC’s, HMI’s, AGV's, servo systems, safety scanners, Fabrication presses etc.).

• Knowledge of electrical codes & standards.

• Knowledge of safety codes and standards.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and testing equipment.

• Proficient with electrical wiring

• Proficient with PC hardware and commercially available software.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have:

• Knowledge of fluid systems (pneumatic, hydraulic and lubrication)

• Extensive knowledge of welding application.

• Knowledge of SCADA systems, motion control systems
