Technical Director (New York - USA)

Role Overview As a Technical Director, you will drive technical excellence, ensure outstanding project delivery, and foster strong client relationships to support account growth. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, leading teams, managing engagements, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Oversee architecture, design, and implementation to ensure best-in-class solutions.
• Client Growth & Strategy: Identify opportunities, propose technical solutions, and enhance Parser’s presence within client organizations.
• Relationship Management: Build trust with key stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and long-term engagement.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage technical teams, ensuring smooth onboarding, performance optimization, and career development.
• Technical Excellence: Stay ahead of industry trends, contribute to Parser’s intellectual property, and represent the company at conferences.
• Governance & Pre-sales: Define technical standards, conduct client workshops, generate proposals, and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) on cloud platforms.
• Business Development: Act as the first technical presence in new client engagements, leading farming and hunting initiatives.
  

What You Bring

• 15+ years in software development, with 8+ years leading engineering teams.
• 4+ years as a Technical or Engineering Director in software consulting.
• Expertise in modern architectures (microservices, event-driven, cloud-based), AI/ML and data-intensive solutions.
  
• Strong programming skills in at least two major languages (e.g., React, Angular, Python, Java, C#, Node.js, .NET).
• Deep knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and developing POCs on cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in SDLC best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Technical sales and pre-sales experience, with a track record of growing client accounts.
• Public speaking experience and ability to represent Parser at conferences.
• Industry expertise in finance or healthcare is preferred.
• Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus.

Location: Must be based in or near New York City, USA, with occasional client travel.
