Lead Bartender - Graduate by Hilton Bloomington

Collegiate Hotel Group® is seeking a Lead Bartender to join Graduate by Hilton Bloomington and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.  

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Ensures bar is set up with appropriate levels of liquor, juices, syrups, mixers, etc.  

• Ensures that the bar, glasses and cutlery is clean, polished and sanitized  

• Ensures guests are of legal age to consume alcohol  

• Prepares drink orders according to bar standards and guest preferences  

• Presents bar bill and takes payment  

• Ensures guests are engaged and satisfied  

• Monitors guests for overconsumption of alcohol and takes steps as necessary  

• Locks up and store all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.  

• Oversee daily operations 

• Train, monitor and coach bar staff 

• Directs and assigns bar employees as needed to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards 

• Performs bar opening and/or closing duties including preparation and stocking 

• Supports bar staff scheduling 

• Monitors and maintains inventory levels 

• Places orders for product and supplies within cost control procedures, receives beverage and supply orders 

• Reinforces a guest service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving guests at all times 

• Immediately and respectfully resolves guest requests 

• Assists in interviewing bar staff to achieve proper staffing levels 

• Collaborate with brand F&B team for new menu changes 

• Create and maintain vendor relationships 

• Support creation of bar checklists and procedures 

• Support event organization and operation 

• Enforce health and safety guidelines 

• Other duties as assigned  

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

• High School Diploma/GED 

• Safe Serving certification required 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

• Knowledge of alcohol serving practices and standards  

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally  

• Team player
