Summary / Role Purpose
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is accountable for providing strategic HR advice to the global Product organization, as a part of the Product HRBP team, to improve the quality of business decisions and drive business value. This role will serve as the HRBP for one or more of the Product units, as well as take the lead on cross business unit initiatives and processes for Product in the US. The role proactively shapes business transformation while building organizational capability, leadership strength and performance culture. As a trusted advisor on all HR initiatives, this role operates in deep partnership to the business in a wide dimension of capacities. This role will report to Senior Management and work across multiple centers of expertise and HR functional organizations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Build trust with senior leaders to provide thought leadership on people-related strategies, including leadership development, culture, employee engagement, talent deployment, succession planning, workforce planning, total rewards, coaching and mentoring
- Advise senior leaders, using a data driven approach, regarding the implications of short and long-term decisions, strategies, and large-scale change efforts that will yield sustainable business results
- Counsel and coach leaders on talent issues including performance management, high potential employee identification, and poor performer reduction. Act as a strategic talent advisor to drive global talent review and succession planning
- Collaborate and coordinate with appropriate resources including Country HR Managers, HR Services and Centers of Expertise to create solutions for the business
- Ensure positive employee relations practices through effective and proactive relationship management within assigned business
- Consult and provide support to business leaders on organization changes, including those due to acquisitions
- In partnership with the HR Centers of Expertise (COEs), lead key HR processes in the U.S. for the Product organization, including transfers, immigration, performance management, and other cross-business unit initiatives
- Enhance efficiency by providing support on various project and process work
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related area
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR field position
- Demonstrated ability to build senior level partnerships, communicate effectively with all levels of employees and ability to foster teamwork
- Strong experience in organizational development, change management and employee coaching
- Knowledge of US and state specific legal requirements as well as ability to operate in a global ecosystem
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to coach managers and employees
- Experience in employee relations support to employees in multiple locations
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Office/O365, SAP SuccessFactors, ATS)
- Proven ability to work with a management and employee population that is widely dispersed outside of the headquarters location
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to travel occasionally, including international travel
- Relevant industry experience, particularly in the technology sector
- Comfort with high-volume work and navigating in ambiguity
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to function independently and as part of a team while managing multiple projects in a fast-pace
