Job Description

NBC Universal is seeking a Programming Specialist to join a driven and highly motivated team located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ as part of the Program Operations team in Media Operations. This Specialist role will have a primary focus on Studio Fulfillment and will gain valuable experience in our enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the rest of Media Fulfillment, Product, and Engineering teams across multiple site locations. They will also serve as the liaison between various TV Distribution teams to ensure the accurate and reliable distribution of content to international platforms and third-party clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor delivery of high priority content to high revenue platforms, troubleshooting, and escalating to respective support teams to quickly rectify any potential issues.
  • Handle client email communication for all assigned orders.
  • Oversee ingest and delivery of high-profile feature and episodic content on high visibility deals.
  • Responsible for ensuring complex workflows are fulfilled correctly, such as Movies Anywhere, Full Package deliveries, LATAM dub card orders, Viacom18, etc.
  • Run daily standup meeting for internal team to discuss agenda items and priority orders.
  • Manage EST Day And Date Critical order deliveries that must complete to clients by 3PM Eastern daily.
  • Send at risk SLA emails when necessary for any Day and Date critical order at risk of missing client delivery.
  • Provide support to Programming Coordinator for complex workflows.
  • Must have and retain a solid understanding of internal workflows that the coordinator would be trained on.
  • Assist Media Operations Supervisor train new employees on department workflows and supporting ongoing team training.
  • Work across multiple processing systems to manage and troubleshoot orders.
  • May be asked to cover other Specialists when they are out of office.
  • May be assigned to different brands based on business needs.
  • Perform all other duties to support the success of the Media Operations team as assigned my manager and follow company rules and policies. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a media or post-production/entertainment environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in a job using computers and software applications including MS outlook, MS Excel and the internet.
  • 2+ years in a role requiring effective communication with diverse audiences, ranging from non-technical senior leadership executives to technical professionals and media operations staff.
  • 2+ years in a role requiring technical skills within media management such as understanding and interpreting QC reports, and familiarity with video file specifications.
  • 2+ years' experience working with digital media file formats, sizes, and qualities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Anticipated Schedule: 9-5 ET M-F. Must Be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed, including nights, holidays (with notice) and weekends to meet the 24/7 operational needs. 
  • Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey 
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
