The Casino Country Manager – Spain will be responsible for shaping and driving the local market strategy for Glitnor and OneCasino in Spain. The role sits at the crossroads of product, marketing, CRM, and commercial teams, with a strong focus on local market insight, influence, and direction rather than day-to-day execution.
You will define market-specific plans, actions, product and campaign enhancements, ensuring that the Spanish customer experience, tone of voice, and commercial priorities are clearly articulated, localised, and effectively handed over to execution teams across the organisation.
The position will be based and resident in Melilla for a minimum of 6 months yearly, but you can also combine this by being based at our offices in Marbella (Estepona) / Barcelona 6 months yearly.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Market Strategy, Influence & Growth Direction
Define and own the Spain market strategy, translating local market insights into clear plans, priorities, and initiatives.
Identify growth opportunities across acquisition, retention, product positioning, and customer experience.
Act as the local market expert, ensuring Spain-specific needs are reflected in global strategies.
Product, CRM & Customer Experience
Influence product roadmap decisions, game mix, features, and UX based on Spanish market insights.
Shape and guide CRM strategies, customer journeys, and lifecycle initiatives with a strong focus on localisation.
Own the local tone of voice, ensuring messaging resonates culturally and commercially with Spanish players.
Propose product, UX, and campaign enhancements and pass clear briefs and requirements to execution teams.
Marketing & Brand Strategy (Strategic Ownership)
Define the local marketing strategy and action plans in collaboration with central Marketing teams.
Guide the development of localised acquisition, conversion, and retention initiatives, ensuring alignment with Spain market objectives.
Shape the local promotional and campaign calendar, providing market-driven input and prioritisation.
Support commercial discussions with acquisition partners (affiliates, media groups, etc.), ensuring Spain-specific performance metrics and ROI expectations are clear.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Act as a strategic connector between Product, Marketing, CRM, Compliance, Payments, BI, and Group Management.
Ensure clear communication of Spain market priorities, plans, and feedback across teams.
Enable effective execution by providing structured plans, briefs, and market context to delivery teams.
Drive alignment between global objectives and local market realities.
Financial Performance & P&L Ownership
Shared P&L ownership for the Spanish Casino business, together with a representative from Group Management.
Contribute to revenue growth, cost optimisation, forecasting, and long-term profitability planning.
Evaluate the financial impact of proposed initiatives and market strategies.
Regulatory & Market Governance
Ensure full compliance with Spanish gaming regulations and licensing requirements.
Maintain strong working relationships with regulators and relevant local authorities.
Ensure local strategies and initiatives align with regulatory constraints and opportunities.
Data-Driven Market Leadership
Monitor and analyse KPIs, player behaviour, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
Translate data insights into actionable recommendations and improvement plans.
Responsible for weekly and monthly Spain market reporting across customer and business metrics.<
