Lead Analyst, Revenue Strategy & Analytics

What We’re Looking For:
2U is seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Lead Analyst to join our Revenue, Analytics team. This individual will serve as a critical liaison and analytical lead in our partnership with Red Ventures (RV), ensuring robust understanding, evaluation, and communication of RV's performance across both edX and our broader MarTech initiatives. The Lead Analyst will also contribute to special projects, including leading and enhancing our TCA (revenue prediction) table testing framework.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Analysis
- Independently assess and communicate performance metrics related to paid landing page testing, return on ad spend (ROAS), and revenue attribution and recognition.
- Provide clear, actionable analysis on how revenue is generated, tracked, and optimized through various marketing initiatives.
- Lead the improvement and testing of TCA tables to ensure accuracy and enhance business insight.
- Collaborate with Finance and Strategy teams to align performance metrics with broader business goals and financial reporting.
- Utilize SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools to drive in-depth insights and recommendations.
Partner Management
- Act as the analytical hub for all Red Ventures-related performance discussions, synthesizing data insights for executive and leadership decision-making.
- Partner closely with Red Ventures and Internal Marketing teams to understand testing strategies and expected impacts across various channels.
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for Red Ventures testing timelines, performance expectations, and results dissemination.
- Effectively communicate performance insights to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Project Management
- Support the execution of strategic analytics initiatives, including, but not limited to Data Science and Red Ventures-related projects.
- Coordinate project timelines, align cross-functional inputs, and ensure data and analysis are ready to support business objectives.
- Provide structured analytical contributions and insights across teams to ensure project goals are met and tied to program success.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in an analytical role with demonstrated success in marketing analytics and financial performance evaluation.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Deep understanding of ROAS, revenue recognition principles, and digital marketing performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
While this position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., we will prioritize those who live in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and who are available to come into our Headquarters in Arlington, VA two days a week.
