Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Product Definition Technical Leader who will report to the Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) Military Product Definition team. The Technical Leader will manage Product Definition (PD) tasks to deliver Model Base Definition (MBD) files including assisting design and the structures disciplines with models to meet Integrated Product Team requirements.
What You Will Do:
- Manage PD tasks including resource planning (internal/outsourcing), cost estimations, and accountability to cost and schedule within the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) environment.
- Plan and assign the work of the responsible group and make assignments to most effectively utilize the skills and talents of available personnel including outsourcing.
- Work with the CIPT to ensure proper PD staffing requirements are met.
- Provide technical/Managerial leadership.
- Provide feedback - technical and professional skills of PD individuals supporting tasks.
- Travel up to 10%.
What You Will Learn:
- Effectively represent PD discipline on a team where goals and objectives have been established and accomplishments are evaluated and documented.
- Communicate effectively with support groups such as design, manufacturing, quality, and modular center management to successfully implement projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 8 years of engineering experience including experience in Unigraphics, NX manager / Team Center Engineering, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M, and Microsoft Excel; or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of engineering experience to include experience in Unigraphics, NX manager /TCE , Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M, and Microsoft Excel.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in Product Definition.
- Understanding of CORE/ Lean Processes and the importance of continuing to deliver Quality Products.
- Develops and effectively communicates strategy plans for meeting team deliverables.
