Job Description

As a Security Officer - Cultural Institution Patrol in Columbus, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a cultural institution location. You will remain highly visible, providing exceptional customer service and communication to visitors and staff. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere, responding promptly to incidents, and embodying our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter incidents and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor the environment for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established guidelines.
• Support the overall security-related operations of Allied Universal by maintaining a visible presence and assisting with inquiries from staff, visitors, and/or guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
