Assistant Director of Clinical Services

Lakemary is looking for an Assistant Director of Clinical Services for our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. This position with work with children with developmental disabilities and co- occurring psychiatric diagnoses, in a residential environment.

Assistant Director of Clinical Services Job Duties & Requirements

• Demonstrate ability to supervise, train and oversee the development of the residential therapy department.
• Lakemary is looking for a Assistant Director of Clinical Services for our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. This position with work with children with developmental disabilities and co- occurring psychiatric diagnoses, in a residential environment.
• Assist Senior Director of Clinical Services with recruitment, new staff training, and performance evaluation of clinical staff.
• Work with Lead Therapist in providing department supervision in the absence of the Senior Director of Clinical Services.
• Provide in-person, or on-call support during crisis situations and manage and/or provide direction to individuals served during crisis situations.
• Assist Senior Director of Clinical Services by attending weekly Admission & Review meeting and with completing clinical assessment of client referrals to ensure they are the right fit for Lakemary’s PRTF.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and enhance client outcomes.
• Provide mental health and trauma-informed training and education for school team and Lakemary staff.
• Monitor quality assurance initiatives and work with Senior Director of Clinical Services and Senior Director of Compliance to implement improvements as necessary.
• Audit charts for policy and procedure compliance, appropriate documentation and timely completion of all internal clinical documentation.  Provide approvals as directed.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Clinical Services and Lead Therapist to assist in meeting clinical objectives; support/maximize department activities and provide quality patient care.
• Assist with case staffing, individual case supervision, review of case record maintenance, treatment planning, guide discharge planning, and ensure documentation standards are met.
• Create, update, and review evidenced-based curriculum utilized in therapy sessions for clients assigned to residential therapists alongside the expanded clinical team.
• Manage a small caseload and run groups as necessary.
• Demonstrate responsibility for positive employee relations including performance evaluations, rewarding and addressing performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems with staff.
• Promote employee engagement to achieve a positive and productive workforce.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care.
• Other clinically appropriate services and special projects assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• Required: Master’s degree in a mental health field from an accredited institution
• Valid clinical licensure in Kansas. Licensed as LSCSW, LPC, or LMFT
• Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire and for the entire duration of employment
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in mental health discipline required
• 2+ years in an administrative or leadership capacity required
• Ability to work with a diverse client population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating clients assigned
