Medical Insurance Biller & Collector- Physician Billing

Job Description

• A Medical Insurance Biller & Collector reviews, corrects and submits claims to payers.  They provide follow-up via mail, phone or online tools to secure payment for MCCH.   Payers may include Commercial, Government and Self-Pay.  

 Education Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Physician Office or Hospital Business Office/Patient Financial Services

• Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.

 Required Skills:

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

• Ability to manage own time and the time of others

• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions,
  conclusions or approaches to problems

• Ability to use computer-based data system and automated accounting system (Specific training provided)

• Must be a Team Player
