Raytheon has an opening for Principal Specialist, Contracts supporting the Global PATRIOT Missile Program within our Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to manage critical contracts enabling upgraded capability development, product sustainment, spares, and integration of the PATRIOT System with the US Army Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS). Customers include US ARMY PEO Missiles and Space, FMS Partners, Army Contracting Command (ACC) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Contracts supported by this position include the Patriot Engineering Services Memorandum (ESM) Contract and Air & Missile Defense (AMDC) Integration with awarded value exceeding $1 Billion. This position will require effective and continual coordination with multiple geographically dispersed internal and external customers and supplemented with periodic travel to key partnering meetings.
In this role, you will be the face of Raytheon and lead and participate in cradle-to-grave contract management activities to include proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and contract closeout. You will enable significant customer activities to fulfill contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Your efforts will be critical to maintaining and building customer relationship and delivering services and products critical to Raytheon and the warfighter.
What you will do
Demonstrate effective oral and written communications by preparing for and leading status meetings and drafting contracts letters for official correspondence on program topics.
Work with key stakeholders in delivering program results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Identify, report and propose researched solutions to contractual issues to leadership to mitigate program risks.
Research and advise on compliance with applicable regulations and laws both External (FAR/DFAR) and internal (Raytheon procedures), and formulate recommendations to management as needed.
Simultaneously manage multiple contracts and complex issues.
Support the program in all contract pursuits, proposals, and negotiation by development and implementation of negotiation strategy and approach
Manage TINA sweeps during negotiations
Effect timely review and process of contractual modifications.
Manage contract closeout efforts

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
Experience with application of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or FAR Supplements such as Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), or NASA Supplement, DOE supplement, etc.
Experience with contract management or contract administrative support activities which may include varying aspects of cradle-to-grave contract life-cycle to include pre-award activities (preparation of proposals and contract negotiation), contract administration during the period or performance, and contract closeout for the development, or production, or sustainment of a U.S. Government system or program
