As the Nutrition Science Affairs Senior Manager in our North America Taste, Texture, and Health business unit, you will be at the forefront of transforming cutting-edge nutrition science into products that consumers love and need. Partnering closely with our regional marketing health benefits team, you will collaborate with food and beverage clients to develop innovative, nutritious product concepts that offer real health benefits. Your key responsibilities

• Translate nutrition science behind dsm-firmenich’s solutions into consumer-friendly language and claims, enabling concepts for food and beverage customers offering healthier products
• Use current and developing nutrition science, trends, and insight studies to leverage our unique solutions to customer innovation and reformulation projects. Develop science-driven storytelling for customer briefings, workshops, and tradeshows, using science as a differentiator
• Collaborate closely with marketing Health Benefit Solutions team, Sales, Regulatory Affairs and Application to create concepts for food and beverage customers
• Liaise with global NSA to stay abreast of the science and tools related to our health ingredient solution portfolio
• Use scientific evidence to advocate for our ingredient portfolio and raise awareness at conferences and meetings. Advance the "nutrition science" agenda by engaging with academic key opinion leaders, scientists, and industry associations

 

This position is eligible for the dsm-firmenich Hybrid Working model, spending 1-2 days per week in the Plainsboro, NJ office and the balance of the week in a home office that is commutable via car to Plainsboro.  Other locations may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

You bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Nutrition, Food & Beverage, and/or Dietary Supplements industry, including experience in Nutrition Science
• A team player with the ability to collaborate across business groups, regions and departments and to establish strong relationships with key external stakeholders
• Proven capability of strong communication skills with comfort presenting to large audiences and proven capability to work transversally and independently and to deliver business impact.
• Nutrition Science experience with hydration, performance and beverages a plus
• Recognition by external stakeholders as a strong & credible advocate for nutrition
• PhD degree in Nutrition, Foods Science, Life Sciences or equivalent through experience. Knowledge of systematic evidence analyses, the North America regulatory landscape and claims development
