Systems Engineer/ International Space Station Robotics Analyst

Support the International Space Station Program’s (ISSP) office of System Engineering and Integration in the MAGIK (Manipulator Analysis Graphics and Interactive Kinematics) robotics lab.  Full time position will perform assessments to ensure successful ISS robotic missions including kinematics feasibility studies, extravehicular choreography development, and payload integration evaluations as well as other assigned duties.

In this role you will develop skills in systems integration and engineering while gaining mentoring and experience in NASA space systems.

Minimum Requirements:

-Knowledge of engineering principles and technical writing

-Experience with the principles and practices of CAD software

-Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point)

-Strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills

-Ability to work effectively in a team environment

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

-Familiarity with inverse kinematics, linear algebra, and/or orbital mechanics

-Experience with Python, C#, Bash, SQL, Git, and ROS

-Experience with game development including Unity and/or Unreal Engine

-Experience with Siemens NX software, Linux OS or simulation programs

-Technical and operational knowledge of ISS subsystems, flight schedules and environments

-Familiarity with ISS robotic components, interfaces and operations

-General knowledge of ISS architecture, visiting vehicles and orbital conditions

Education and Relevant Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field with 0-3 years of work experience.
