NOTE: This position is hybrid (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays in office) based in Uptown Dallas, TX.
Who You Are:
You’re a motivated accounting professional with 2+ years of experience and ready to step into a Senior Accountant role. You’ve built a strong foundation in GAAP and monthly close processes, and now you’re looking for a role where you can grow, stretch your skills, and make a real impact. What You'll Be Working On:
- Review revenue contracts for the Company’s Enterprise business unit, record revenue recognition schedules in accordance with ASC 606, and complete related billings.
- Generate manual and system-driven journal entries to be reviewed by the Accounting Manager and/or Director of Revenue Accounting (includes the creation of vital analyses
and back-up support). - Maintain accounts and sub-ledgers and prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including the timely resolution of any outstanding reconciling items.
- Provide accounting and reporting assistance to other cross-functional teams (i.e. FP&A, Sales, Pricing, Operations, IT, etc.)
- Perform and document analytical review of revenue (and revenue related accounts) fluctuations as part of month end close and quarterly reporting package.
- Develop and improve accounting processes and reporting including partnering with Data Services Team to increase automated processes.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Firm knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent analytic, time management, written, verbal and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage conflicting priorities to deliver a high quality work product required.
- Great teammate with previous cross-functional exposure who is able to liaise with various departments and levels every day.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing and meticulously documenting monthly close processes, ensuring support for all financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, to solve problems
Education/Other Pre-Requisites:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably within a publicly traded company or public accounting firm.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
