About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to lead key initiatives in financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis. In this role, you’ll develop financial models, deliver insightful reports, and collaborate with teams to align budgets with business objectives. You’ll have the opportunity to partner directly to the executive leadership team (ELT), gaining valuable exposure and influencing high-level decision-making.

What you'll do

Financial Planning & Forecasting:

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
• Analyze historical data and industry trends to provide accurate and actionable forecasts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic goals.

Strategic Analysis & Reporting:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports with key insights, variance analysis, and recommendations.
• Support ad hoc analyses to evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, and cost optimization strategies.

Business Partnering:

• Collaborate with department leaders to review budgets, track performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing financial guidance to drive informed decision-making across the organization.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of FP&A deliverables.
• Leverage software tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, AI) to automate reporting and streamline workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and data management.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial modeling, or corporate finance, preferably within the software or tech industry.

Skills & Competencies:

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and valuation techniques.
• Strong command of financial systems and tools, such as Excel, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience working directly with ELT including: regular communications, leading meetings, showcasing forecasts and results and driving direction and clarity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models.
• Familiarity with key software industry metrics (ARR, LTV/CAC, churn, etc).
• Familiarity with Netsuite, SFDC and AI tools
