Preschool Youth Sports Instructor (Part-Time)

Description

Are you a friendly and energetic person and enjoy working with children ages 3-5 years old? Are you someone that likes to teach children how to play different sports? If so, please consider applying for the Youth Sports Instructor position and joining our Youth & Teen team at the Boroughs Family Branch YMCA! 

Qualifications:

• Must be able to provide care and interact with children and youth in a positive manner
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be able to become CPR/AED certified for children and infants within 30 days of hire

Job Responsibilities:

• Works alongside the youth development team leadership, and creates developmentally appropriate curriculum & activities around sports
• Leads and oversees activities in the early childhood sports classes, which include a group of up to 8 children and their parents or caregivers
• Creates a friendly and welcoming environment that nurtures every child's potential and speak with parents/caregivers about students when needed
• Attend all staff trainings or meetings

**Preference for applicants with experience in working with children from 3-5 years old

Schedule: Let us know your availability! 

Weekdays between the hours of 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities (gym, pool etc.) for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.��
