Principal Data Scientist - CoreAI

At CoreAI, we build the foundational platforms and tools that power AI experiences across global-scale products including Azure AI Foundry, GitHub Copilot, and Microsoft 365. We are establishing a world-class product and growth analytics platform to drive decision making at scale and provide actionable insights at the speed of AI. 

We are looking to hire a Principal Data Scientist - CoreAI to join our product and growth analytics team. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with teams across CoreAI to identify and clearly communicate insights and analysis to leadership, to measure what matters, and to drive innovation in product analytics and data-driven decision making. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
  • OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 10+ years data science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
      • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience in basic hypothesis testing, p-values and trustworthy experiment design

Other Requirements: 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
