A look into the role
Working as part of our sales team, the Store Projects Manager will support over 400 independent stores in striving for best-in-class standards. The role will assist with strategic and operational procedures and development of teams to help stores achieve maximum profitability.
This position will be well suited to a retail professional who is able to lead and inspire others, has the capacity for critical thinking and a growth mindset.
As Store Projects Manager you will:
- Provide effective team leadership and management to the store employees; ensuring all team members are well motivated and properly supported to achieve store targets and objectives.
- React to local trading conditions and exercise judgement to take initiatives that will increase sales.
- Support others to manage ordering, receiving goods, stock holding and the control of wastage and stock loss.
- Identify and deliver training and support to staff with the support of Henderson Academy team.
- Build and develop a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills for Success
Joining us as Store Projects Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
- Strong relevant store management/leadership experience within FMCG convenience/grocery sector.
- Ability to train staff and encourage staff to adopt and implement processes and procedures.
- Proven track record in delivering sales and profit targets in the convenience/grocery sector.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Full Current UK/Irish Driving license.
The attributes you’ll need include:
- Strong financial focus and ability to motivate and inspire others.
- High level Analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A confident and resilient self-starter.
If is desirable if you had:
- Proven track record of successful project management.
- Experience of supporting internal or external stakeholders through change management.
- Working understanding of Microsoft Office.
