About the role
We are currently hiring a Taproom Assistant Manager in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
The Taproom Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Tap Room (Front of House). They assist the General Manager in creating a world class Tap Room and Brewery by providing the team with superior beer education and hospitality training. They are also responsible for ensuring sound operations, which includes but is not limited to: proper staffing and scheduling, a solid understanding of COGS and inventory procedures, safety, and sales building. The AM will help to oversee the culture, craft, and creativity of the Tap Room.
What You’ll Brew:
In accordance with pay transparency laws the salary range for this role if hired is $55,500 – $90,600 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.

What You’ll Brew:
- Opens/Closes Tap Room - weekend and weekday shifts from 4pm-10pm
- Ensures Tap Room facilities are fully functioning on a daily basis; reporting issues requiring attention to General Manager while driving for ongoing improvements
- Serving as point person on site for all Programming and Reservations, ensuring all performers, vendors, and reserved parties are given the resources and attention needed
- Works closely with Brewing Operations on: receiving beer, dry goods, & cleaning liquids at the Tap Room, maintaining proper beer inventory levels, updating printed menus as needed, requesting specialty beers, and beer education for the staff and guests
- Conducts inventory as needed. Tracks and forecasts supply needs; glassware, cleaning supplies, gift cards, & retail items
- Daily oversight and reporting of cash on hand, including prepping deposits and placing change orders as needed
- Ensure all employees have competed assigned safety training as mapped out by Boston Beer
- Ensures that the cleanliness of the Tap Room and the safety of our guests and employees are maintained at all times
- In charge of employees position training – bartenders, tour guides, bar backs, etc.
- Partners with General Manager to complete employee evaluations on an annual basis
What Ingredients You’ll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years in high volume restaurant/taproom/retail management
- Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to problem solve and handle high stress situations, and strong computer skills
- Passion for craft beer and desire to learn
- Outgoing and personable; acts as a role model for all staff
- Ability to work with a team and interact well with others
