Immunome is a clinical-stage targeted oncology company committed to developing first- and best-in-class targeted therapies designed to improve outcomes for cancer patients. We are advancing an innovative portfolio of therapeutics, drawing on leadership that previously played key roles in the design, development, and commercialization of cutting-edge targeted cancer therapies, including antibody-drug conjugate therapies (ADCs.) In addition to a portfolio of discovery-stage ADCs, our pipeline includes AL102, a gamma secretase inhibitor which is currently in a Phase 3 trial for treatment of desmoid tumors, as well as IM-1021, a ROR1 ADC, and IM-3050, a FAP-targeted radioligand, both of which are the subject of INDs expected to be submitted in the first quarter of 2025.


Position Overview


The Senior Research Scientist in Antibody Sciences will be central to discovering and characterizing novel antibodies against drug targets. A large proportion of this work will involve cell-based assays and may, depending on circumstances be high throughput and involve robotics.  You will play a crucial role for our ongoing programs and shape the development of our novel therapeutic technologies.


Responsibilities


Research Design and Execution

  • Multicolor Flow cytometry, high throughput, high content on BD FACS symphony and Sartorius IQU 3 RBV screener 
  • High content, rare event, cell sorting of antigen specific immune cells as well as cell lines
  • Antibody discovery through cell sorting, B cell culture and Hybridoma generation
  • Cell based functional assays with flow cytometry, Incucytet and immunoassay readouts
  • Assay and platform development involving cell sorting, flow cytometry, incucyte immunoassays and SPR
  • Using robotics to increase throughput

Data Analysis and Interpretation

  • Analyze and summarize experimental data from assays described above.
  • Interpret results and communicate implications to developing technologies.

Project Collaboration

  • Collaborate with colleagues from diverse scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and translational medicine to achieve project goals.
  • Organize data for ease of collaboration with other research teams. 

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed and accurate electronic laboratory notebooks documenting experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.
  • Prepare and present research findings to internal teams a contribute to project updates and strategic discussions.

Continuous Learning and Development

  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in techniques for producing and characterizing protein therapeutics. 
  • Proactively seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to the scientific growth of the research team.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience (or 5+ years of experience with a Master’s degree) in preclinical drug development in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong experience with high throughput and high content multicolor Flow cytometry 
  • Strong experience with cell based functional assays with flow cytometry, Incucytet and immunoassay readouts including assay and platform development
  • Experience using robotics to increase throughput
