JOB OVERVIEW

PREFERRED LOCATION: US east coast, EMEA, remote role

 

TE's HR Business Partners implement Human Resources policies at the business unit level partnering with management to drive company-wide programs and initiatives (i.e. succession, talent acquisition, total rewards and change management). They foster partnership across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives, strategies and policies of the organization.

 

THE ROLE
The HR Director, Business Partner for Global Supply Chain will partner with our Chief Supply Chain Officer to drive HR Strategy that align with critical business objectives. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to our Chief Supply Chain Officer on HR related initiatives including organization design, strategic workforce planning, talent and succession planning, talent mobility, change management, and performance management.  This role will be a trusted partner, subject matter expert and resource to the leadership team and requires the ability to think strategically while maintaining a results-driven approach.

TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with Supply Chain leadership team to review the effectiveness of current organization design and influence the design. 
  • Assess succession bench strength/gaps, identify capability needs and source strategies (buy/build/borrow); socialize approaches with Recruiting/Staffing.
  • Build and execute pro-active approach and cadence within the client leadership team to drive successors readiness, improvement in gender diversity and employee engagement and inclusion index. 
  • Drives strong project management cadence and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities balancing the focus between business and HR functional priorities. 
  • Leverages TE HR Operating Model to deliver on best and timely HR services and ensure good understanding of business priorities and projects within the broader HR Community. 
  • Analyze trends and metrics as they apply to client groups, develop proactive actions to further support business objectives and people strategy.  
  • Drive HR operational excellence through TEOA and on-going identification of continuous improvement opportunities across HR processes and systems. 
  • Ensures putting strong partnership with Talent Attraction and Executive Recruitments using standard dashboard and collaborate to effectively resolve any escalations. 
  • Ensure compliance with TE Global HR Processes such as Performance management, year-end compensation review etc. 
  • Strengthen the Strategic workforce capabilities within the functions through systematic approach and talent forecasting and planning tools while also building flexibility and agility considering cyclical nature of our business. 
  • Continually improve organization effectiveness programs and tools for talent/succession planning, performance management, organization design, strategic workforce planning and change management; take the lead in effective implementation of each in partnership with the business and HR partners.
  • Shape and create the culture of accountability by ensuing business leaders are driving the commitment to culture transformation initiatives within their respective business area.
  • Drive employee engagement through effective communication, programs, and alignment to development and growth opportunities. 

PROFILE

  • Minimum 10 years business partnership experience 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with a diversified industrial with experience supporting Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management
  • Strategic thinking, leadership presence and expertise in business partnership with an understanding of global markets and talent practices is required.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, global employment laws, and regulations.
  • A track record of business partnership with senior executives and global executive to ensure strategic impact through all talent processes.
  • Experience working in a matrix and leveraging HR shared services to deliver high quality service is a plus.
  • Can effectively manage global and complex change and shift gears comfortably; highly effective in ambiguous environments and able to produce maximum results with little direction and guidance.
  • Superior collaborative working abilities and experience; ability to manage multiple complex assignments, with proven ability to assess competing priorities in a high energy, fast paced environment in a geographically dispersed organization.
