A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Contributes to Blattner's goal toward an industry-leading business operating system by facilitating the Document Management efforts across the enterprise.
- Promotes standardization and best practice sharing to improve product quality and productivity.
- Assists in promoting and facilitating training on the understanding, adoption, and acceptance of document management policies and processes throughout the organization.
- Involved in the periodic review, update and maintenance of the accuracy of documents and records; supports subject-matter-experts in the review and editing to ensure current and accurate.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Associate’s degree required, or Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a technical writing, communications or document management-related emphasis favored communication or journalism experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
- Entry-level professional, with preference given for experience in document control or process-improvement role in a corporate and/or construction management setting. Previous knowledge of documenting processes or procedures, and/or document management systems and principles, preferably with knowledge of corporate structures, culture, and processes.
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
- Knowledge of document control and management principles and proficient at implementing and sharing those principles.
- Competence with Document Management Software tools (i.e., SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, Access, PowerPoint).
- Technical writing experience preferred.
