Job Description

The Clinical Coordinator will assist the Director in organizing & supervising the personnel and resources in the Emergency Department.  Will be required to demonstrate competency with an advanced level of clinical skills and the ability to assist others to achieve a high level of quality care skills.  Will assist with planning for smooth, high quality emergency department operations & patient care.  Assists in the training of personnel and the development of a high quality care team.

Additional Job Description

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years ED and /or ICU experience
  • 1-2 years supervisory experienced preferred

Licensure/ Certification:

  • Current RN license to work in South Carolina required
  • Current BLS required
  • Current ACLS Certification
  • Current PALS Certification

For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects, depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
