Poland BOSS: Journeyman HVAC Mechanic

<p>Title:</p>Poland BOSS: Journeyman HVAC Mechanic<p></p><p></p><p>Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Reads and interprets instructions and procedures. Installs, services, and repairs environmental control systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and structural layout. Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to lower-level craftsmen and may reassign work delegated from supervisor. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as directed. Individual should possess a thorough knowledge of the inner workings of heating and cooling units, as well as refrigerators and freezers that includes wiring, motors, pumps, switches, lights, fans and thermostats. Work will also involve lifting and moving heavy units.</p><p></p><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Experience in maintenance of window A/C units, split type A/C units,  VRF, reefers, Commercial refrigerators and freezers, ice makers and large commercial Air Conditioning plants and Chillers, Air Handling Units 50/60Hz.</li><li>Documented trade experience and training</li><li>Qualified at the journeyman level</li><li>EPA certified</li><li>Must possess, or be able to secure and maintain a Secret Security clearance  </li><li>3+ years of experience as a HVAC mechanic</li></ul><p></p><p>Additional requirements:</p><ul><li>Must be fluent in English</li><li>Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity</li><li>NAVFAC Experience preferential</li></ul><p></p><p>In compliance with the U.S. federal government’s vaccine mandate, only candidates who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have a reasonable accommodation or approved medical exception will be considered for this position.</p><p></p><p>KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
