Finance, Markets and Credit Risk Technology, enables Citi to achieve its day-to-day and long-term growth goals, enabling execution of Citi’s Strategy by providing services, technical solutions, and infrastructure across the bank. These solutions enable Citi to comply with regulatory mandates and empower our businesses to achieve their goals, both current and long-term.

In Finance, Market and Credit Risk Technology (FMCRT) we’re pushing the limits of technology. Our products and initiatives adhere to Citi’s strategic architecture principles and support the end-to-end integration of multiple global functions within the bank including Finance, Risk, and Controllers.

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and technically proficient Database and Analytics development lead to oversee and guide the architecture, development and execution of Database, BI(Tableau) and ETL workstreams. In this role, you will lead teams across these workstreams helping dependent applications to deliver scalable, efficient and business aligned data solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive the initiatives.

Responsibilities

Define and implement the overall data, BI and visualization architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, security and performance.
Provide architectural oversight and technical direction for database, Tableau and ETL workstreams.
Manager close coordination with functional application teams, stakeholders to align on database initiative and BOW.
Design, enhance and manage Oracle/No-SQL database architectures, solutions with a focus on Oracle and other related technologies such as Knime/ETL and Tableau.
Lead and mentor a team of database developers, BI analysts and ETL engineers ensuring technical alignment and consistency across workstreams.
Architect and oversee Tableau solutions ensuring they are well integrated with data stores and meet performance standards.
Oversee the data flow between various systems ensuring accuracy, scalability and timeliness.
Define and enforce best practices for data security, quality and documentation.
Foster strong collaboration, implement high engineering standards to drive innovations and efficiency.
Monitor emerging trends, drive automations and improvement initiatives across workstreams.

Qualification

10+ years of experience in design, architecture and implementation of scalable data solutions across databases, BI and ETLs.
Advance knowledge of relational DB particularly Oracle, PL-SQL. Familiarity with modern database technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery) will be a plus.
Very strong database design/development experience using Oracle 12C/19C
Expert in SQL & PL/SQL modules such as packages, procedures, functions and other database objects
Expert in Database Performance Tuning and optimization
Strong experience in data modelling, schema modelling and data design for complex systems.
Experience in Tableau architecture, development and implementation. Familiarity with Tableau Server/Admin is a plus.
Proficiency in ETL, Data Transformation and integration tools like Ab-Initio, Talend, Informatica or Airflow.
Strong analytical and problem solving mindset, with attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with technology stakeholders and leadership.
Proven experience leading and managing technical teams.
