Compliance Associate

Position will assist California Group Lead Compliance / Hospital Compliance Officers / Hospital Operations with management and execution of key compliance oversight activities. The Compliance Associate will be responsible for the following under the direction of the CA Group Lead –Compliance:
- Assist in managing and responding to hospital compliance inquiries.
- Assist in organizing data for the various hospital compliance programs.
- Assist in development of auditing, monitoring and implementation tools for Hospital Compliance Officers.
- Assist in covering Hospital Compliance Officer positions during vacancies.
- Assisting with administrative activities associated with Hospital Compliance Operations and enterprise-wide compliance initiatives, including preparation of agenda and presentation materials, preparation of minutes, and coordination of any follow-up arising from such meetings.
- Assisting with preparation and oversight of the hospital compliance workplan and program initiatives.
- Assistance with conducting auditing and monitoring activities related to the hospital compliance programs.
- Assistance with conducting hospital compliance risk assessments.
- Educational presentation(s) for hospital departments, leaders, and new employees, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of progressive experience in the health care industry or equivalent experience required.
- Healthcare Compliance Program experience preferred.
- MS Office and Data Analytics skills are essential.
- Self-starter initiative, relationship building skills and positive attitude required.
- Ability to travel between 3 hospitals monthly required. Selected candidates will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
Compensation
- Pay: $57,616 to $92,144 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
- Management level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.

- Participation in auditing & monitoring activities, including, but not limited to, Quarterly Referral Source Audits (data gathering/sampling), hospital space walk-throughs, and vendor qualification program audits.
- Assisting with administrative activities associated with Compliance related meetings, including preparation of agenda and presentation materials, preparation of minutes, and coordination of any follow-up arising from such meetings.
- Conducting preliminary fact gathering and assessment of reported issues and contemporaneous documentation of such efforts.
- Assisting in the implementation of corrective action plans resulting from investigations or other identified issues.
- Assistance with conducting auditing and monitoring activities related to the compliance programs.
- Assistance with conducting risk assessments and surveys.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Self-starter initiative and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills both written, and oral.
- Ability to juggle numerous priority compliance activities.
- Minimal travel requirements.
Preferred:
- Three years of progressive experience in the health care industry including contract, financial auditing
