At its most simplest, we are a leading Fortune 500 company making the Internet of Things a positive, transformative, worldwide reality for all of us. <strong>And we want you to be part of the journey!</strong></p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>What we can offer you! - Your Role:</strong></p><p>In this diverse role of high impact, we are hiring an energized, tenacious, and highly driven<strong> (Senior) PLC / Process Automation Engineer </strong>to join our Avery Dennison Smartrac team (<a href="https://rfid.averydennison.com/en/home.html">rfid.averydennison.com</a>) <strong>home-based - ideally close to our RFID manufacturing site in Ancarano (TE), Italy - </strong>with a direct reporting line to our<strong> Deployment Manager, Integrated Textile Solutions - Avery Dennison Smartrac</strong></p><p><u>Your Mission:</u></p><ul><li>On a daily basis, and with your technical expertise, you will <strong>support the implementation of new innovative solutions and focus on improving the performance of our operations</strong> (RFID tag production lines) <strong>to achieve production excellence </strong>by working across multiple functions and influencing others as well as by <strong>thriving for best results according to the business needs and safety and health requirements</strong>.</li><li><strong>Traveling (15-20% of your time) internationally</strong>, you will collaborate cross-functionally with our teams at our manufacturing sites in Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Americas to<strong> proactively define and develop innovative and disruptive solutions and suitable manufacturing processes for our RFID products</strong> (including HF/NFC tags, sensors, and loggers).</li><li>By working together with our commercial, product line management, innovation, sustainability, and platform teams you will <strong>define and manage new RFID product and process implementations including SOPs</strong> within our own organization, <strong>lead technical projects, correct electric, software, and/or mechanic malfunctions, and troubleshoot operational challenges</strong>.</li><li>With your curiosity, creativity, and your communication skill set, you will <strong>optimize existing processes to the new now</strong>, <strong>deliver training and workshops</strong> to our employees, and take on<strong> initiatives around digitization and Industry 4.0</strong>.</li><li>Eventually, you will <strong>engage in (scientific) experiments on new products</strong> following all safety and health regulations, <strong>recommend required equipment / capital purchases</strong>, and <strong>participate in various innovation projects</strong>.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>What we expect from you! - Your Expertise:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Electrical / Automation & Control Engineering</strong>, or related (electro-)technical background</li><li>Previous <strong>work experience of 3+ years</strong> with major applications of <strong>Process Automation disciplines (Siemens or Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLC programming skills)</strong>, both on Hardware, Software, and documentation aspects</li><li><strong>Ability to champion projects and process change </strong>both cross functionally and vertically within the organization</li><li><strong>Project management</strong> <strong>experience </strong>and familiarity with <strong>training on new
