Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $25.11.

Essential Functions:  

 

As a newly hired operator at the facility, you will be expected to be an active participant in continuing the excellent safety performance of this facilityAdditionally, you will be responsible for helping to maintain the housekeeping standards that help make this a clean and productive atmosphere to perform your daily tasksSome safety responsibilities include: obey all plant safety rules and regulations, complete all required safety training and pro-metrics, report all unsafe conditions, wear all P.P.E. in areas where required 

As an operator in this facility, you will perform tasks such as 

·         Inspecting, accepting (signing for) and unloading materials 

·         Loading outbound flatbed and van trailers according to load sheets 

·         Make sure outbound loads are not over weight limit, balanced out, and product is secured using “V” boards 

·         Setting dock locks and wheel chocks on trailers before loading or unloading 

·         Ensure that all fall restraints are inspected, and truckers are informed on the use of them 

·         Keep forklifts clean 

·         Turn in completed PM’s to maintenance by Wednesday at 10a.m 

·         Keep truck drivers in designated areas (in cab or in lobby) 

·         Report any issues which may occur regarding shipping/receiving including but not limited to loading problems, paperwork problems, and any truck issues 

·         On received goods, check and count all items unloaded from trucks or trailersChecks suppliers’ count and report discrepancies to carrier and to S/R Supervisor/Materials Coordinator

·         General housekeeping of receiving area, backyard, warehouses & facilityComply with snow removal procedure 

·         Scrap pallets; keeping them organized and safely stacked
