Job Details:
Purpose:
The EDE Student Associate supports the Employee Development and Engagement (EDE) team within University Housing and Dining (UHD). This role contributes to the planning and execution of employee training, development initiatives, community-building efforts, and recognition programs for a department of over 1,800 employees.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, deliver, and distribute training materials and packets.
Assist with the coordination and facilitation of employee trainings, events, and new employee orientations.
Create digital promotional materials to support internal communication and engagement.
Provide administrative support, including:
Customer service and front-line support
Document sorting and filing
Complex data entry and report generation
Participate in the UHD CARE Committee, as schedule permits.
Support the development of online training modules and presentations.
Translate training materials into Spanish, as applicable.
Required Qualifications:
College student in good academic standing.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively on projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Experience working in an office setting.
Ability to multitask and balance academic and work responsibilities.
Coursework or experience in communication, visual design, or presentation development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and macro-enabled spreadsheets.
Experience creating training materials.
Background in human resources, food services, or residence life.

Compensation:
$13.75 / hour
Work Shift:
We are located in the Kinsolving Building at 200 West Dean Keeton St. and our work shift hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Selected students will work with their supervisor to determine hours and days of work.
Working Conditions:
May require work around standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of the keyboard at a workstation.
