About the role

The Sales Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of customers, including strategic key accounts, by delivering commercial excellence, technical solution alignment, and long-term relationship development, while driving new business development through proactive customer acquisition. This role requires a strong understanding of the CASE industry, including supply reliability, pricing dynamics, regulatory compliance, with a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better support their customers. This role will also need to drive cross-functional coordination with internal teams such as manufacturing, Customer Service, logistics, R&D, quality, and EHS to support their territory growth.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. safety of the Company’s customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.

  • Own full commercial responsibility for assigned accounts, including revenue growth, margin performance, pricing strategy, contract execution, and customer satisfaction. 
  • Lead Key Account Management (KAM) activities for designated strategic customers, developing long-term partnership roadmaps and expansion strategies 
  • Act as the primary customer advocate internally, ensuring alignment across supply chain, operations, technical, and quality teams 
  • Drive new business opportunities by identifying unmet needs, new applications, alternative formulations, and product substitution opportunities 
  • Develop account plans, business reviews, forecasts, and pricing strategies tailored to CASE industry dynamics. 
  • Identify, target, and onboard new customers in the CASE markets.  
  • Generate qualified opportunities through prospecting, industry networking, trade shows, and market research and communicate with the broader team regularly  
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM including pipeline activity as well as call reports and provide guidance to the business. 
  • Understand product lines, as well as customer end uses. 
  • Work with Commercial Director, Sales and Technical to prioritize short term lab work requests and provide input on customer problem investigations.   
  • Work with national distributor (within local territory) in a sales/support role 
  • Developing and implementing complex sales and related business programs and applying comprehensive sales, business, and related principles and practices 

  • Proven record of achieving aggressive goals and objectives 

  • Strong decision making, business judgment and follow-through skills 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field
  • Must  at least three (3) years of experience in progressive business/industry 
  • Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Excel, including writing formulars, formatting and sorting data, creative pivot tables, and importing/exporting excel data to and from proprietary software

 

Preferred Qualification: 

  • Have at least five (5) years of experience in progressive business/industry
  • Have at least three (3) years of experience in the sales industry 
  • Have experience with polymers and colorants in the CASE markets
  • Have experience preparing an annual budget 
  • Have experience with understanding of marketing, research and development, manufacturing, and related business functions
