ABOUT THE ROLE

 

E15 Data Science Internship Program

May 2024 – August 2024

You’re someone who loves spreadsheets and formulas as much as sampling a new recipe or visiting your favorite restaurant. You’re a creative problem solver, a collaborator, and an innovator. To you, there’s nothing better than uncovering the ‘why’ or ‘what’ behind a certain consumer dining behavior.

 

Position Description:

As an intern in this 11-week program, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a data science team that collaborates with some of the biggest brands in sports and entertainment. You will be matched to a project that may involve providing better performance reporting, building predictive models, optimizing operations, creating new insights, and performing a wide range of other data-driven activities that help grow the business. The position is hybrid and requires three to four days working from E15’s Home Office located in downtown Chicago and one to two days working remotely. You may be eligible for a housing subsidy to assist in temporary relocation.

 

Responsibilities:

• Determine data needs for a given analytical problem
• Examine current performance and forecast future outcomes using predictive data modeling
• Scraping data from social media platforms
• Build polished reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Present/communicate analysis to internal stakeholders

You Have:

• Demonstrated experience analyzing complex data
• Excellent communication and data presentation skills
• Strong programming talent and entrepreneurial mindset
• Desire to problem solve with data
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• A good command of statistics
• A collaborative work style
• A curious mindset

 

You Might Also Have:

• Familiarity with one or more of Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker
• Experience with some of the following techniques: regression models, classification models, optimization models, database querying, visual discovery, or webscraping
