Job Description
Eurofins is seeking an Engineer for its Workspace Management (WSM) group to support and maintain the Microsoft compute environment across North and South America using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Intune. The ideal candidate would have expert experience with managing and deploying Windows Operating Systems via AutoPilot and MECM task sequences; with additional experience in Microsoft product patching, 3rd party application patching, application deployment, and an understanding of Group Policy.
Essential Job Duties:
- Support remote device imaging via AutoPilot/Intune. Thorough understanding of AutoPilot profile creation, management, and troubleshooting/support of this process;
- Implement strategies and processes to effectively prepare installation packages, deploy application packages, deploy Windows security patches, and deploy Windows images to endpoints across multiple domains in North and South America using MECM;
- Use Windows Update for Business to keep Windows workstations patched to required levels for Intune managed devices;
- Create and deploy Intune configurations, policies, and settings;
- Knowledge of application deployment via Intune and a co-managed MECM environment;
- Provide oversight and support on high priority incidents or events, including but not limited to:
- Mass rollouts of new software/tools or package upgrades;
- Support priority incidents impacting local business instrument computers;
- Upgrades and configuration changes of MECM;
- Security patch auditing and remediation.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent experience;
- At least five years of experience working in desktop engineering or workspace management position;
- At least two years of experience working with Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)/ System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM);
- Communicate in a positive upbeat manner both verbally and in writing to a multicultural audience;
- Experience in understanding business requirements and translating them into something understood by a non-IT business leader;
- Consistently demonstrate initiative and self-motivation in creating and completing tasks with minimal oversight by leadership;
- Free to travel (5-10%) within the United States
Appreciated
- Experience creating/troubleshooting Microsoft Group Policy.
- Experience with application packaging and deployment.
- Experience with third party patching tools integrated with MECM and Intune (e.g. PatchMyPC).
- Experience with using Automatic Deployment Rules to deploy Microsoft updates to workstations and servers.
Additional Information
