Klamath Falls Subaru is looking for a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician I to join our growing Service team! In this role, you’ll perform high‑quality repairs and maintenance while working alongside a supportive team in a clean, well‑equipped shop environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (possible Saturdays) 8am-5pm

Compensation: $20 per hour

What You Will Do:

Technician I team members perform vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs according to dealership and manufacturer standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform work outlined on Repair Orders (ROs) efficiently and accurately.
• Review ROs for time requirements, waiters, and service details.
• Inspect vehicles for existing damage and note findings.
• Install seat and steering wheel covers; perform safety inspections.
• Inspect lighting, wipers, tires, fluids, belts, hoses, and leaks.
• Rack vehicles and complete under‑vehicle inspections.
• Inspect driveline, brakes, exhaust, suspension, and steering components.
• Document recommendations clearly and submit ROs for advisor review.
• Perform approved services and upsell work when appropriate.
• Reset maintenance reminder lights and complete documentation.
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality and safety.
• Return vehicles clean and restored to original condition.
• Communicate job completion and findings to dispatcher, advisors, or leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• 1 year automotive technician experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to drive manuals required.
• DealerTrack experience required.
• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred).
