The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives.   As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.  Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As an FP&A Supervisor to be based in Alameda supporting the US Commercial business. This is a key financial supervisory position and has full responsibility for the planning and execution of key financial processes across the SG&A areas it supports, including Plan, RLBEs, Confirmations, Actuals Reporting, etc.  Enhance and create analytics to support understanding of planning submissions and help ensure forecast accuracy.  Coordinate with US Commercial business stakeholders and finance team on SG&A and marketing mix modeling, providing meaningful insights, and variance analysis.  Supervise and develop one staff member.  This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Supports ADC US Commercial business working on key projects and analysis around SG&A and marketing mix modeling
  • Will have opportunity to own management of SG&A for ADC US Commercial
  • Will be integral player in development of LBE (forecast) templates utilized by the finance team and be expected to assist in providing guidance to senior finance personnel on key findings
  • Interfaces with Senior Management and Department Managers and key stakeholders to identify and measure SG&A KPIs
  • Lead, direct, and develop a senior financial analyst professional.
  • Prepares key management reports emphasizing historical results, budgets, forecasts, and trends.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, as well as finance teams in US Commercial, Global, and Division.
  • Run reports and analysis utilizing financial tools such as Excel, Dodeca, Power BI, SAP etc.
  • Completes ad hoc financial requests as needed

Experience You'll Bring

Required

  • BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5 years financial analysis experience.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems. Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
  • Highly proficient in Excel. Experience with EssBase/Dodeca and SAP a plus.
