Supports the program director in assuring effective program operation, intern education and quality improvement activities for Children Wisconsin’s School of Radiologic Technology. Monitors all assigned staff for performance accomplishments as well as issues needing attention. May conduct one on one in-services; advises manager and/or department educational coordinators of a need for training and review of updates as needed for staff. Addresses minor behavioral issues with staff members as appropriate; reports other issues to Program Director for action. Provides objective feedback for peer reviews.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Must be licensed in the State of Wisconsin as a Radiologic Technologist.
CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in radiology or associated field of study
Experience
Three (3) years of clinical experience in the professional discipline.
One (1) year as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program or a minimum of two (2) years as a Radiologic Technologist assisting with duties in a radiologic technologist school at an academic hospital is required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Proficiency in the areas of curriculum design, program administration/evaluation, instruction, and academic advising, including proficient computer skills. Has a working knowledge of JRCERT standards.
Highly effective written and oral communication skills; high aptitude and precision in reading, writing and mathematics.
Highly effective interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated leadership, supervisory and managerial skills.
Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.
Basic computer skills to operate a computer efficiently and effectively.
An understanding of Children’s Wisconsin health care delivery system and the impact of other health care delivery system on the patient and family.
