Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Procurement Agent to join our Government Satellite Supply Chain Team in El Segundo, California.

This position will provide oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. Will also lead supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.

Position Responsibilities - Senior Level 4:

• Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
• Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions
• Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements
• Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions
• Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues
• Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities
• Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies

Position Responsibilities – Lead Level 5:

• Develops procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements
• Develops and executes company strategic business goals and objectives
• Consults on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategies
• Formalizes procurement requirements with customers and leads the supplier negotiation process
• Prepares and executes negotiated documents
• Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Manages contract terminations
• Develops organization and company improvement plans

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• More than 5 years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
• More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
• More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
• More than 5 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes
• More than 5 years of experience in Contracts & Pricing and/or Supplier Management Procurement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, etc.)
• Senior Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Lead Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• More than 5 years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts

Typical Education/Experience:

Senior Level 4: Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Lead Level 5: Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
