About the role

Description

We are currently recruiting a Corporate Attorney - based in Tempe to work at our Charlottesville office, to strengthen our Legal team. 

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating corporate contracts, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business-related agreements.? 
  • Advising on corporate governance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies.? 
  • Providing counsel on corporate structuring and strategic partnerships.? 
  • Supporting regulatory filings and compliance requirements related to business transactions.? 
  • Representing the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.? 
  • Conducting legal research to support corporate transactions and strategic decisions.? 
  • Managing legal risks and helping shape the company’s overall corporate strategy.? 
  • Collaborating with internal teams to address legal issues effectively and ensure smooth operations.? 
  • Assisting in other legal matters as needed to support the corporate team.? 

Requirements

 

Personal Skills: 

  • Excellent English language skills (written and speaking) at C1 level is a must. 
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement. 
  • Ability to carry out detailed instructions with limited supervision. 
  • Good organizational skills. 
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations. 
  • Ability to use logical and divergent reasoning to solve problems. 
  • Ability to work safely and effectively with others. 
  • Ability to relay legal information to needed parties. 

Technical Qualifications: 

  • 4-5 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on business transactions and commercial agreements. 
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams). 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Experience with real property matters or energy permitting matters is a plus.
