The Venue DevOps core team is an eager bunch of individuals coming together to build awesome solutions as part of the Venue platform. We span the gamut from highly technical developers to visionaries trying to predict the next big thing.
Our members are based in the USA, Canada and the UK, and we’re now looking for our latest hire to join us in remotely in either Canada or the USA. We're looking for someone on EST time. We’re constantly looking to evolve our product and striving to provide a platform for each other so we’re able to do our best work day in, day out. We pride ourselves on being a technically strong, supportive and friendly semi-autonomous team.

This role offers you the opportunity to work with different front and backend Javascript technologies, various software components, their utility, analytics, API integrations, and more. As we’re developing a DevEx platform, you will also be exposed to the full ecosystem of DevOps tooling.

What you'll be doing
- Evaluating existing solutions, analysis and design of new developments, implementation, deployment and quality assurance
- Proposing improvements for applications, systems, and methodologies
- Communicating with the rest of the team, including other developers, clients and internal stakeholders to deliver quality software
- Mentoring juniors along their professional growth
- Acting as a team player with an open-minded attitude to others’ ideas. We value close-knit collaboration with team members (via planning, estimation, tech design reviews and code reviews etc)
What we're looking for
- A depth of experience with one or multiple of these technologies - React, TypeScript & Next.js
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs
- Experience with unit testing and test automation libraries/strategies
- Comfortable executing the SDLC, including automated testing, and CI/CD practices
- Comfortable working in code written by others as well as collaborative in your own approach to development
- Experience with HTML5, CSS and front-end best practices
- Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL systems and the ORM frameworks that interact with them<
