What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site requirements.
- Monitor vehicle and personnel access including deliveries and pickups, confirming appointments, checking documentation, and directing traffic flow as needed.
- Conduct screening and inspection tasks as required such as checking packages, bags, and/or outbound materials in alignment with site policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Operate and monitor access control systems, alarms, and/or CCTV where assigned, reporting irregular activity and escalating per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas as permitted, loading docks, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting hazards and/or unauthorized activity.
- Complete detailed written reports and logs including incident reports, shift activity, access records, and maintenance or security-related observations.
- Provide directions and assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors while supporting site rules regarding restricted areas and required personal protective equipment.
- Support emergency and business continuity procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and accountability checks as directed by site protocols.
- Coordinate with on-site personnel and Allied Universal supervision to communicate shift handoffs, policy updates, and follow-up actions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
